Patricelli Center Announces Shiv Soin as Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Wesleyan University’s Patricelli Center for Entrepreneurship is pleased to welcome Shiv Soin as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Spring 2026. He joins Marisa MacClary ‘94 P’28 as the PCE’s second Entrepreneur-In-Residence this year. In this role, Soin will lead the Center’s Social Impact Fellowship, working closely with student founders to develop, refine, and scale ventures addressing pressing social challenges.

A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree for Social Impact, Soin works at the intersection of entrepreneurship, public policy, and youth-led social movements. He is the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of TREEage, a climate justice organization he launched as a college student, which has since grown to engage thousands of young people across all five boroughs of New York City.

Soin’s background spans grassroots organizing, global convenings, and institutional engagement. He has previously served in leadership roles focused on youth engagement and climate action, designing and facilitating conversations that connect students, policymakers, and advocates across diverse global contexts. Through this work, he has developed a practical, systems-oriented approach to building social impact initiatives that are both values-driven and operationally sustainable.

As Entrepreneur-in-Residence, he will mentor student founders, host workshops, and provide hands-on guidance throughout the Social Impact Fellowship, supporting fellows as they navigate the challenges of early-stage venture building, organizational growth, and impact measurement.

Soin added,“The Social Impact Fellowship is designed to meet students wherever they are in their journey, whether they are in the early stages or already running programs and looking to scale. Just as important, I hope fellows build strong relationships with each other, forming a community that extends beyond the semester. Ultimately, my goal is to help students create ventures with the strong foundations needed to generate lasting impact, not just short-term projects that fade after graduation.”

Students can book weekly office hours with Shiv, and will have access to a lunch workshop series focused on nonprofits and social impact. Contact ssoin@wes or abadr@wes to learn more.
